It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we share the tragic passing of Jeremy Cupples of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Jeremy’s loss has sent waves of grief through his family, friends, and the wider community, particularly within the rugby family where his impact was felt in a remarkably short time.
Though Jeremy was new to the Oats rugby community, his presence was immediately meaningful. He gave generously of his time and energy, helping to build the new children’s play structure and contributing hands-on support toward major capital upgrades around the clubhouse and grounds. His willingness to step in, work hard, and give back spoke volumes about his character. Jeremy believed strongly in community, teamwork, and leaving things better than he found them.
Beyond his volunteer spirit, Jeremy was an entrepreneur with vision and determination. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family and build a future filled with opportunity. Above all else, Jeremy was a devoted partner to Tara and a loving father to their three young boys, who were the center of his world. His dedication to his family was evident in everything he did, and his passing leaves an immeasurable void in their lives.
Jeremy will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, strong work ethic, and quiet leadership. He had a way of showing up when help was needed, offering support without hesitation and friendship without condition. His legacy lives on through the projects he helped build, the community he strengthened, and the love he gave so freely to those closest to him.
In response to this heartbreaking loss, a GoFundMe has been established to help support Tara and the boys during this incredibly difficult time. Community members and friends are encouraged to consider donating and sharing, as a way to honor Jeremy’s life and help ease the burden on the family he loved so deeply.
As we mourn Jeremy Cupples, we also celebrate a life defined by generosity, purpose, and love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
