It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Eamon Hipps, a beloved 17-year-old student from Western Alamance High School. Eamon tragically went home to be with the Lord after a devastating car accident. His death leaves a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, teammates, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Eamon was a shining light in the lives of those around him. His kindness, dedication, and love for his friends and teammates were unmatched. He had a spirit that uplifted everyone he encountered, always quick with a smile and a laugh, and was known for his fierce loyalty and hardworking attitude. Whether on the soccer field or in the pool, Eamon’s passion for sports and his commitment to his teams—specifically soccer and swim—were apparent. His coaches and teammates admired his work ethic, and he was always ready to lead by example.

In 2024, Eamon joined YBAC, where his passion for soccer was evident from the start. His dedication and multi-sport abilities made him a standout athlete. Recently, he was named MVP during the 4A State Championship for soccer and earned his National Team cap at the Capital Classic.
